Lisa, received her Master’s in Science, Counseling from the University of Mary in 2013 and her Bachelor’s in Science, Psychology from Charter Oak State College in 2011.  Lisa completed her internship at the North Dakota State Hospital.  She began her journey of entrepreneurship by opening Corner Post Counseling, PLLC, in June of 2016.

Lisa grew up in Arizona and moved to North Dakota in 2002.  She lives on a small farm with her family.  Her hobbies are riding and driving horse, gardening, reading and spending time with her family.

First Responders - here is a little more information about Lisa.  Her mother was the advocate for creating a rural fire department in their community.  Her mother was a volunteer fire fighter and EMT.  Lisa was the "guinea pig" for rescues and practicing techniques.  Lisa spent many of her youth years volunteering for the volunteer fire department.  She joined the Border Patrol Explorers in middle school and continued until she graduated high school.  Then she became a volunteer for a few years with the Border Patrol. 

 

Lisa is a First Responder Culturally Competent counselor.   She is part of the Law Enforcement Mental Health Outreach Network.  Lisa is in the "Directory of Behavioral Health Professionals" with the National Volunteer Fire Council.  She volunteers with the North Dakota Critical Incident Stress Management Program.​

Candace is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of North Dakota.  She has a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Addiction Counseling from the University of Mary.  Candace gained experience with a variety of populations through her internship and work since graduating in spring 2015. She has experience working with individuals in trauma recovery and with youth who have mental and physical disabilities.  Candace provides counseling in many areas including grief, depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, interpersonal conflict, and anger management to name a few. She also provides couples and group therapy.

Candace was born and raised in Bismarck ND. Although Candace has only one younger sibling, she has a large extended family with whom she spends time often.  Faith and family and friends are very important to her.

Chelsea Nucech, LPCC

Chelsea is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and has been in practice for over 10 years.  She currently focuses on working with adults who have been experiencing depression, anxiety, and trauma symptoms.

 

Chelsea’s approach in counseling is compassionate, collaborative, and active. She practices from predominately an acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) approach. She aims to work together as a team with the people she serves to help them struggle less with the things that have caused suffering and help them connect to the life they want to live.  In working with Chelsea, you can expect increased understanding of your experience as well as strategies for improving your life and relationships.

 

Chelsea grew up in the Bismarck area. She enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as learning, reading, and yoga. 

Brennan Roche, Intern

Brennan is currently working towards a graduate degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Mary. He is completing his internship hours here at Corner Post Counseling. Brennan recently moved to Bismarck and has previous experience as an intern at Capstone Mental Health in Nebraska.

 

Brennan has worked with a wide variety of individuals including those experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, and personality disorders. He has experience providing both individual and couple’s therapy. Brennan strives to understand the whole person and help individuals flourish in every aspect of their lives.

Brennan has a previous master’s degree in molecular Genetics and Cell Biology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Benedictine College.

Brennan grew up in Nebraska and moved to Bismarck in 2024. He enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and dog. His hobbies include hiking, fishing, mountain biking, skiing, doing crosswords, and reading.

Isy Sees is an undergraduate student at the University of Mary and will complete her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in the spring of 2025. She plans on attending graduate school at the University of Mary to obtain her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.


Isy grew up in a small town in South Dakota and moved to Bismarck in 2022 to attend college. She comes from a large extended family and spends her free time reading, crocheting, and spending time with friends.
